Kathryn Ladin is an associate clinical marriage and family therapist licensed to work in the state of California. Kathryn is a wife and mother of two children and a previous business owner, giving her insight into the balance of nurturing relationships and family while also making personal mental health a priority. Kathryn has experience working with individuals as well as running groups with adults, teens and kids. Individual therapy has typically focussed on: anxiety and depression, women’s issues, family struggles, trauma, physical and emotional abuse, neglect, phase of life issues, substance abuse, marital and relationship struggles, LGBTQ issues of gender identity, and major life transitions. Kathryn has also worked with teens facing a wide range of issues including: family separation, difficulty at school, substance abuse, anxiety and depression, peer pressure, self esteem and screen (social media/ games) safety. Kathryn offers grounded and compassionate therapeutic support using evidence based approaches such as CBT, family systems, psychodynamic and attachment theory, with attention to the mind body connection. She works closely with clients to build a healthy therapeutic relationship by establishing goals collaboratively while always holding space for individuals’ values, culture, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender preference, and spiritual/ religious practice, in effort to create an environment for growth and lasting wellbeing.
