Doctor Sheth is Licensed and Board Certified in Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine. He has worked in University and other community settings. Currently, he is Co-Medical Director at the Tricity Medical Center Behavioral Health Unit and at their Outpatient Program. In 2020, Dr. Sheth earned the honor of Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and joins an distinct group of psychiatrist who make significant contributions to the field of psychiatry.
He has varied experience in working with clients with various conditions such as Depression, Bi-Polar Disorder, OCD, Anxiety, Mood Disorders, ADHD, and others.
Dr. Sheth applies his extensive background as former Clinical Director of Genomics and his knowledge into incorporating genetic technology into the treatment of a client. Genetic testing helps create a treatment regimen which is individualized and best suited for each client thus limiting side effects and improved positive effects of medications when used appropriately. He also uses Neuromodulation which involves electro magnetic stimulation of specific brain areas and neuropharmocology to provide cutting edge care to each of his patients. His experience in combining therapy and medication for treatment of psychiatric disorders allows him to focus on the wellness of his patients and ensure that they achieve their maximum potential at social, educational, and professional levels.
Dr. Sheth is married with three children and enjoys music and sports activities during his off time with his family. He keeps up with new advances in the field of psychiatry including therapy techniques, new medications, and is trained to use Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) Therapy. TMS offers a great option for many clients who have noticed limited benefits with medication trials and/or have difficulty tolerating side effects associated with psychotropic medications. TMS is the latest technological non-medication intervention approved by the FDA which involves electromagnetic stimulation of specific areas of brain to treat depression right at the clinic without any sedation or need to go to hospital.
