Sarita Shah, MD, PhD
Welcome! My name is Sarita Shah, and I am a board certified general adult psychiatrist. I work with people throughout the adult lifespan to live their most fulfilling lives while managing anxiety, depression, OCD, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia. In addition, I have specialty training in maternal mental health, encompassing pre-conception counseling, pregnancy, and postpartum mental health concerns. I have extensive expertise in management of psychiatric medications, and I preferentially employ a holistic approach that centers lifestyle factors and minimum necessary prescribing. My goal is for us to build a relationship where we decide on a treatment plan together that prioritizes your goals.
Dr. Shah graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in engineering from Trinity University. She then earned her medical degree with honors from Baylor College of Medicine and went on to complete residency training in psychiatry at the University of California San Diego. She also earned a PhD in bioengineering from Rice University and has done research in novel drug delivery and neural tissue engineering. In addition to her work at Achieve Concierge, she is Medical Director at Monima Wellness Center and a consulting psychiatrist at Nudj Health.
