Dr. Alexa Rabin is a licensed psychologist who completed her doctorate in clinical psychology through Alliant International University in San Diego, California, and obtained her Master’s degree from the same institution. She completed her bachelor’s degree with a focus on child development and cognitive science at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.
Dr. Rabin has specific training in and a wealth of experience conducting cognitive, psychological, personality, and differential diagnosis evaluations with children, adolescents, and adults. As an interactive, solution-focused evaluator, she offers evaluations aimed to help differentiate between various mental health diagnoses with a specialty in evaluations aimed at understanding and/ or diagnosing high functioning autism spectrum disorder, attention-deficit/ hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and other learning disorders.

Psychological evaluations can help highlight academic challenges and/or strengths, clarify diagnoses to inform treatment, aid in an employment application, and provide information about one’s social, behavioral, and personality functioning.
All psychological assessments are aimed toward individual needs. Testing is used for many different reasons. Some people use them to help get special accommodations in school, while others may use them to help gain more information about themselves and their unique approach to the world.

I was born and raised in Los Angeles. I moved to San Diego for graduate school and loved the community, so I stayed after completing my education.
HOBBIES AND INTERESTS?
In my free time, I enjoy walking my French bulldog, spending time with family and friends, and enjoying the sunshine!
