Dr. Alexa Rabin, Psy.D.

Dr. Alexa Rabin is a licensed psychologist who completed her doctorate in clinical psychology through Alliant International University in San Diego, California, and obtained her Master’s degree from the same institution. She completed her second bachelor’s degree with a focus on child development and cognitive science at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Rabin has had several years of experience working both on an inpatient and outpatient level with children, adolescents, adults, and families. Specifically, she has experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities; juvenile offenders; the severely mentally ill; juveniles in residential treatment; international refugees recovering from post-traumatic stress; children with a history of trauma; children and families with emotionally related mental health issues; as well as adolescents and adults with alcohol/substance use issues and co-occurring disorders.
Dr. Rabin also has specific training in and a wealth of experience conducting cognitive, psychological, personality and differential diagnosis evaluations with children, adolescents, and adults. As an interactive, solution-focused evaluator, she offers evaluations aimed to help differentiate between various mental health diagnoses with a specialty in evaluations aimed at understanding and/ or diagnosing high functioning autism spectrum disorder, attention-deficit/ hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and other learning disorders.

I was born and raised in Los Angeles. I moved to San Diego for graduate school and loved the community, so I stayed after completing my education.
In my free time, I enjoy walking my French bulldog, spending time with family and friends, and enjoying the sunshine!
